Fatima Khan

Psychotherapists Of Ontario (CRPO)

With over 15 years of experience in psychology and counseling, I have a strong academic background, including a BSc in Psychology, an MSc, and an MPhil in Educational Psychology, alongside a Professional Diploma in Counselling in Transactional Analysis and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). I have pursued extensive certifications to enhance my practice, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Trauma-Informed Care, EMDR introduction, and Suicide Intervention (ASIST), among others.

My expertise spans anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, immigrant and refugee mental health, and crisis intervention. In therapy, I take a client-centered, evidence-based approach, integrating CBT, ACT, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and psychodynamic strategies to create personalized treatment plans. My goal is to empower individuals by fostering resilience, self-awareness, and emotional regulation, helping them navigate life’s challenges with confidence.

Beyond my professional role, I am a dedicated mental health advocate, passionate about creating inclusive and culturally responsive spaces where individuals feel heard, valued, and supported. My journey into mental health was driven by a profound desire to make a difference—helping people heal, grow, and reclaim their well-being.
