Bachelor’s degree, Psychology & Master of Social Work – MSW
Carolina is a Registered Social Worker; she holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Windsor. She is a member of the College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers
Carolina’s background includes more than 10 years of clinical experience providing community mental health services. She has worked many years with youth and adult patients with complex psychiatric disorders, and has supported individuals with developmental disabilities and their families’ accessing services in Ontario. Carolina has also expertise in the gerontology field and experience completing trauma work and providing evidence- based interventions for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Carolina uses a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach grounded in a deep respect for every person, she has a compassionate approach to care. Experience in using different evidence-based methods of psychotherapy models, including CBT, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness. Specializes in Anxiety, Depression, trauma and PTSD. Fluent in English and Spanish
